I have recently retired from being legal director at Crescent Petroleum, having worked in the upstream oil and gas sector for 25 years. I was previously head of legal at Lundin Oil and worked for them initially on their substantial offshore project in Malaysia/Vietnam and latterly in their head office in Geneva.

Prior to that I was a partner with Fox and Gibbons in Dubai where I concentrated in construction and company and commercial matters . This was a London law firm with offices throughout the Middle East and which subsequently amalgamated with Denton Wilde Sapte.

I have substantial experience in all upstream oil and gas matter including concession agreements and international JVAs and onshore and offshore construction contracts as well as a general understanding of laws in the Middle East, having conducted business in many countries such as Libya , Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and UAE.

I also have been involved in a number of start up projects and in particular I was in charge of all legal aspects of the creation and flotation of Dana Gas pjsc and for some years headed up the legal department of Crescent Enterprises (which fosters and develops innovative and sustainable businesses in a variety of sectors).
